Cutting Days 2017 will highlight our expertise during each stage of the cutting tools process, from design and manufacture, through to testing and use in the market.
In total, more than 2,000 people will be attending, with around one-third of visitors coming from outside of the Czech Republic. This includes customers and colleagues from various markets, even as far afield as North America, China, India and New Zealand.
A further 700 people are expected to attend from the Czech Republic, making this year’s Cutting Days (September 4 – 12) the largest in our company’s history.
Visitors will be able to take in our new Experience Center, which will be officially opened on the first day of Cutting Days. This is where the product journey starts, with R&D and testing of new tools.
Surrounding the new XP Center will be two designated areas where visitors can view the largest ever display of Dormer Pramet products, meet with 16 key partners and enjoy our hospitality, with catering for up to 150 people available at any one time each day.
A 250sqm area has been given to showcase our rotary and indexable assortment of tools, which will be presented within relevant ISO-material themed areas, alongside various product videos.
Also, they will get to see our production unit in Šumperk, watch machining demonstrations and visit the Dlouhé Stráně power plant.
Finally, more than 600 students are planned to attend Cutting Days during the final two-days which have been designated for schools and technical colleges.
